BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH and JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT

I can’t sleep right now because my body clock it screwed up because of exams, I slept at 6am almost everyday.

OMG! he is soooo cute!

In case you didn’t know, Benedict Cumberbatch is my new craze.

HELLOOOOOOO!!
how can you not love this man?
I tell you, go watch just one episode of Sherlock BBC, actually just one minute, or maybe less than that, I assure you, you’ll get swept off your feet!
HIS VOICE IS THY SEX!!!

That night I had a dream, I was supposed to choose between marrying Benedict or Joseph Gordon Levitt.
I didn’t know who to choose! That is such a tough choice to make!
Can I just have them both?
One in London, the other in America.

I always thought Joseph Gordon Levitt is the ONE and ONLY, but now I don’t know.
The common thing about this two guys are that they are so damn talented and so damn fine in their acting.
They are so versatile, it’s like you can just throw them any roles and they will do a top-notch performance for you.

I genuinely love this two guys, i mean there are so many other actors that I really like but this two stood out from the rest.

Joseph is coming up with a lot of new shows of which he produces and directs. I can’t wait to see it.
Meanwhile, I need to watch more of Cumberbatch films, but he mostly does TV movies, so it’s kinda hard to find.

Its the way they smile, not sure if that counts as a dimple on Cumberbatch, but just look at JGL’s dimples!!!!!

Okays I’m gonna dream of this two guys tonight again!

The Avengers

Tony Stark  a.k.a Iron Man

Natasha Romanoff  a.k.a Black Widow

Nick Fury

Bruce Banner a.k.a The Hulk

 Thor

Loki

Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America

Clint Barton a.k.a Hawkeye

Agent Phil

Agent Hill

I don’t think I missed out anyone right?

Marvel’s production is always that Marvelous and never failed to marvel me.
wait, Captain America did.
But I wasn’t sure was it because we were at the cinema at a super late timing or was it because it was rather boring that  I actually fell asleep.
But I wasn’t a hardcore fan, below are all my humble opinions.

This post would probably have a lot of spoilers, so if you have not watch it, don’t read.
But right now my brain isn’t really functioning well so I don’t know if I would be able to type what I want to say about this whole show.

Overall i’d rate it

There’s not much to complain, it’s action packed, with injection of humour in it, GREAT cast!
I guess the storyplot was too straightforward? I was hoping it would be a bit more complicated, i don’t know how but just my opinion.

I LOVE FIGHTING SCENES
Somemore they have so many different kinds of weapons- cross bow and arrows, guns, shield, hammer, the hulk’s smash, the ray that comes out from Ironman’s palm and the weapon that Loki holds.
Actually i could give that half a board more just because of this reason.

Another reason was CHRIS EVAN’s ASS is sooooo damn perky! Wtf! His ass is damn nice please!
The scene when he was boxing the sandbag, and they had a close up of his ass, I turned to kohs and said, “HE’S GOT NICE ASS!”

hahahhaha. Sorry for the sidetrack. hahah I’ve got ass fetish. lol

Two notable people in the show, Agent Phil and Agent Maria.
Even though they weren’t the main cast, but I thought that if you were to take them away, this show wouldn’t be that awesome anymore.
Cobie Smulders, I couldn’t take my impression of her as Robin in HIMYM away, but she’s really hot and I’m impressed by her acting skill in the show.

You know who my favourite in the show is?
LOKI! (TOM HIDDLESON)
I like him so much even though he’s the villain in the show, but i actually empathise with him, his unresolved childhood, always in the shadow of Thor and he wanted to prove himself to be capable.
I like him!

Needless to say, ROBERT DOWNEY JR. as IRONMAN.
THE BEST of THE BEST!
This guy is a genius and I don’t have to say much about him and people would agree with me.
As for Sherlock Holmes, I’m sorry I prefer my Benedict Cumberbatch a bit more than Robert.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON
She’s sizzling hot, she’s not just a pretty face, she really can act.
I like how she’s the only women in it, but she manages to stand out among the masculinity.
Scarlett really is a good actress, i think she just earned a spot in my list of awesome female actress.
(I’ve only got Emma stone and Leslie Mann in it.)
btw I like her hair in the show.

CHRIS EVANS AND CHRIS HEMSWORTH
HOTNESS LEVEL OVER 9000
But nothing really impressive about them in this show.
Captain America has a great sense of leadership and Thor is a very sentimental guy?
I’m sorry, but I don’t really have much to talk about them.

BRUCE BANNER
the 2008 Incredible Hulk wasn’t played by Mark Ruffulo, it was played by Edward Norton.
Why the change? I like Edward Norton’s version better actually.
But Mark Ruffulo was fantastic too, The Hulk has a HUGE sense of humour to match up with his giant body.

NICK FURY
Koh wei said he’s the most useless among all.
But without him, we will not have the avengers right!
give him some credit.

Whenever I see Scarlett and Chris alone, I immediately think of the nanny diaries.
Have you seen this movie? This is pretty good.

Alright that’s all I’ve got to say about this show.

oh ya! We gotta thank Stan Lee for creating some of these characters and Joss Whedon for directing this awesome movie! :)

2 weeks

caught this two supposedly “EPIC” movies of the year, but I just think that it was really too overrated.
I had the same thought for this two movies, the first 45- 60 mins of the show were far too draggy and not exciting at all.
It was the last part of the show where there were some actions then it began to be interesting.

I’m not sure about you, but I ain’t impressed with these two movies.

These three movies I would greatly recommend you to watch it!! I really regretted not catching Extremely Loud, Incredibly Close in the cinema, but then again, i was thankful for not catching it in the cinemas, because I literally cried throughout the entire time.
It’s those heart wrenching kind of cry, if you understand what I’m trying to say.
Initially, the reason for wanting to watch this show was all because of Tom Hanks, but the other leads made me fall thoroughly in love with this movie, I’m considering getting the book after my exams.
(I’m more of a movie person than a book person actually, so I’m really still deciding though.)

The king’s Speech and How to train your dragon is worth catching still even though I’ve written nothing about it.
My vocabulary is too limited, go watch the show for yourself!:)

One word to sum these 2 movies – “HOTNESS”

Is that even a word? hahaha! Anyways, JUMP ASHIN is based on a true story of a taiwanese Gymnast, but the main aim of me watching this show is all because of EDDIE PENG!! Just look at those freaking abs and biceps. Seriously, you cannot stop staring at him when he’s practicing his gymnast move. But then again, that’s not the main point of the show, it talks about how this guy has overcome so many obstacles to be able to go back to doing his gymnastics. Life ain’t always easy.

Footloose is a remake of the movie of the same title “Footloose” in 1984.
It’s not fantastic but damn, Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald is just HOT!!
I love dance movies in general, so despite the fact that the plot was very typical, I still quite enjoyed the show.

It is about working together towards the same goal

WE BOUGHT A ZOO is so beautiful it hurts.
I seriously have forgotten what was the last show that made me cried like this.
I was literally crying throughout the whole movie.
I wasn’t kidding! I just cried and laughed concurrently.
I loved every minute of the show.

I don’t know if i would have any spoilers in my post, so please do watch it first before you read my post!

I don’t know why I didn’t wanna catch it in the cinema, the movie poster just didn’t appeal to me, not even when eleanor told me she badly wanna watch it. lol
But here I am writing praises and urging everyone to go catch it.

Benjamin Mee

Watch this video to know slightly more about the “real” instead of “reel” situation?
Not exactly sure which part of the movie was really based on the true story, and which are not.

But I’m really inspired by the Benjamin Mee in the film, his endeavor to make the Zoo happen even though there were so many obstacles in front of him.

You see, given his situation, he was suddenly thrown with so many responsibilities, it’s about his family, it’s about the animals, it’s about the zookeepers and workers, it’s about giving the public a wonderful place to spent their weekends with their families.
You know what’s toughest feat of him, is that he managed to bring himself together to create this miracle even though his wife was suffering from cancer and died eventually.
You can see his love for his wife through the movie, he must have loved and missed his wife so much because throughout the whole show, there are parts about his wife, about what an amazing woman she is and how he overcome all obstacles even though his wife has passed away.

This show also made me realized the importance of money, you want to help and do your part for the society, but really, without money, it just limits what you can do.
I used to believe that money isn’t everything, but i now I’m thinking of shifting my perspective and thinking about what I can do for the society and with my life.

TOM HANKS

I’m sorry Joseph Gordon Levitt and Ryan Gosling, I think i’m in love with TOM HANKS a lot more than i loved you both!

I NEED TO WATCH MORE OF HIS MOVIES!
I can’t get enough of this sexy man!!

I was watching Catch me if you can, and guess what, there’s this yummylicious looking Leonardo Dicaprio and here i am, totally smitten by Tom Hanks!
Oh gosh, he’s so sexy!
Especially the look on his face whenever his genius mind thought of something that would bring him closer to arresting Leo.
Oh god! Seriously Frank WIlliam Abagnale, Jr. is a brilliant con man! at a tender age of 16 and he could come up with all this genius plans! I really want to study his brain!

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN IS A PERFECT MOVIE!
I have nothing that i could pin point about this show, the plot is mind blowing, the casts are wicked! Stop reading this already and go watch this show!!!

you put LEO and TOM together, it’s the perfect concoction!

oh btw
so these are the recent TOM HANKS movies i’ve caught!

I’ve seen and loved Forrest Gump, Castaway and Toy story ( he’s the voice of woody).
I need to watch more of his movies!!
I need more stay home Sundays!!!!

I want a Westley in my life right now!!

I supposed I really am not a good blogger when it comes to posting about outings and times with friends and family.

Rather I love posting about movies!

Alright so I’ve watched Twilight Breaking Dawn and Already Famous in the cinemas this week. American Beauty and The princess Bride on Funshion.
But today I wanna talk about the ones I watched on Funshion!

Okays i don’t know if it’s because I watched this show in the wee of the night or what, but I didn’t quite seem to enjoy parts of the show, but the ending was shot really beautifully.

“but its hard to stay mad when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once, and it’s too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst. Then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it,and then it flows through me like rain, and I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life.” American Beauty

This was the phrase that was narrated at the end, that was when I started to piece everything together and everything made sense.
The ratings were pretty high on IMDB, it’s a great show, but you need to be kinda focused while watching it, i was painting my nails and doing nonsense while watching!

OMG!!! you know how people would say that they want a Edward Bella and JackRose kinda love.
I want a WESTLEY in my life now!
This show is something like tangled, just that it’s not animated.

The only thing I hate about this show is that I really don’t kinda feel the female actress (Buttercup), she’s a damsel in distress, she doesn’t do much and there was this scene where she saw Westley being attacked by this huge, ferocious creature, and all she did was stood there and watch, when the creature wanted to attack her, she just screamed. Why can’t she pick up a damn stick and try to hit that creature???!!

Westley was witty, loyal, romantic, athletic and everything a girl could wish for, Buttercup always said, “My Westley would come for me.”

Awww, and true enough, he always came back to save her!!
you see he’s super duper charming!
awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
i’m gonna dream of him tonight!

The Help

The novel is Stockett’s first. It took her five years to complete, and was then rejected by 60 literary agents before agent Susan Ramer agreed to represent Stockett.
(info taken from Wiki)

S-I-X-T-Y!!
60 is the number of agents that slammed their doors at Stockett from listing out the truth.
People just can’t accept the fact, not even me sometimes.
And WE need people like Kathryn Stockett and Harvey Milk who fought on no matter how tough the situation was.

Can you imagine being rejected 60 times for telling the truth, for hoping that the book would bring some justice and improvements to the lives of the helpers?
This movie really sorts of boils my blood for there were people who thinks that they are more superior based on the colors of their skins, who treated the blacks like they were not part of the human race, stripping off the basic human rights from them, not showing any appreciation for whatever they have done for you.
How cruel can this world be?
But apart from the darkness, I was glad that this show showed me that there were still Samaritans in the world, people who are filled with love and doesn’t judge.
Like what Mother Theresa has once said,
“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”

It really breaks my heart that there were such a “Home Help Sanitation Initiative,” a proposed bill to provide for separate bathrooms for black help because she believes that ‘they’ [black people] carry different diseases to ‘us’ [white people].
I don’t know if this was true but seriously how could people think of this ??!!

Again this show is similar to Milk in the sense that the protagonist in this show stood out and fought for what they think was right and influenced the rest.
You see sometimes it is really difficult to stand up for what you feel is right, much less say standing up for other people.
Skeeter would be sent to jail if she was being caught doing this book, the helpers might be shot if they were being discovered, so what drove these people to overcome their fears?
Their beliefs.
They believed that they should fight for their beliefs and what was right.

Actually I watched this show, mainly for Emma Stone, she was amazing in the show as usual but I think that Aibileen, (Viola Davis) really stole the whole show, it’s like my forever girl crush was in the movie but all I could think and say after the show was how skillful the acting and portrayal of the character by Viola was. Truly Remarkable!

I would or might never feel this way, because I think I am a follower instead of a leader.
Even though sometimes I feel strongly for something, I am a victim of conforming easily.
This is something that I need to learn first, to stay firm on my own principles and beliefs.

Quotes

“You is kind. You is smart. You is important.”

“Courage ain’t just about being brave, courage is there to do what is right in spite of the weakness of our flesh.”

Gotta ask yourself this question; am I gonna believe all them bad things them fools said about me today? You hear me? Am I gonna believe all them bad things them fools say about me today?
-Constantine Jefferson (The help)

“Courage sometimes skips a generation. Thank you for bringing it back to our family.”

Milk

Milk is a 2008 American biographical film on the life of gay rights activist and politician Harvey Milk, who was the first openly gay person to be elected to public office in California, as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

I truly adore Sean Penn in this movie, apart from the fact that they looked uncannily alike, the way Penn portrays this character is so realistic, it’s as if Milk was still alive. However I do need to go watch the documentary, “The times of Harvey Milk” to know more about this Hero!

This film is filled with all hearts and hopes. Harvey Milk is a legend and a Hero. His move to coming out of the closet was deemed perilous and almost like playing with fire at that period. People were killed and discriminated, police would just come and hit these people for no reasons. Gay at that time, lived in fear, no one dared to tell their parents or friends about their sexual orientation, Milk was no exception too, he has only really stepped out at the age of 40. All he ever wanted was to bring hope to these people who need the hope. He wants people to love who they really are and not be afraid to tell they world about who they really are. His actions have truly touched my heart. He sacrificed his time and his love to do what he believed is right no matter how much obstacles were present. He has failed but he never gave up, he had his heart and mind for the people out there. He loved and he fought for what is right even though all odds were against him in the beginning. He has been sent threat and death notes, even though he lived in fear but for all the people who supported him, he pressed on and showed the world what he was capable of.

This is a charming, uplifting show. You should listen to his speech.

“If a bullet should enter my brain, let that bullet shatter every closet door”

“I know you cannot live on hope alone, but without it, life is not worth living.”

“All men are created equal. Now matter how hard they try, they can never erase those words. That is what America is about.”

“Somewhere in Des Moines or San Antonio there is a young gay person who all the sudden realizes that he or she is gay; knows that if their parents find out they will be tossed out of the house, their classmates will taunt the child, and the Anita Bryant’s and John Briggs’ are doing their part on TV. And that child has several options: staying in the closet, and suicide. And then one day that child might open the paper that says “Homosexual elected in San Francisco” and there are two new options: the option is to go to California, or stay in San Antonio and fight. Two days after I was elected I got a phone call and the voice was quite young. It was from Altoona, Pennsylvania. And the person said “Thanks”. And you’ve got to elect gay people, so that thousand upon thousands like that child know that there is hope for a better world.”

rest in peace harvey milk

He’s one of the few people for whom I ask the question “why do bad things happen to good people?”

The Art of getting by

Movie is my only escapade.
The only thing i can do where I could not feel myself anymore.
It’s like stepping into another person’s life for just that couple of hours.
It’s really therapeutic for me.

So I watched this show a couple of days before
It was good real good, i mean the dialogue was awesome, the script was good but i just felt that there could just be a little more to it.
The cast is rather new, I’ve watched Emma roberts in a few shows and apart from wild child i really didn’t like her in any movie, if you say that Kristen Steward was with the same expression throughout all her movies, well i would say that Emma Roberts had fallen into that category too.
But I might be too quick to conclude, i probably should watch more of her show before i make a verdict.

Freddie Highmore was the boy from Finding Neverland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
He totally stunned me in Finding Neverland. He was really impressive in that show, you should go catch it. It’s a beautiful movie.

Even though puberty did him well, I felt that he lack that extra charm in this show.

Overall I would give this show a 7.5/10:)

I shan’t talk about the details in the show because I would end up telling you the whole story! haha

Letters to Juliet

Dear Claire,

“What” and “if” are two words as none threatening as words can be, but put them together side by side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life. What if? What if? What if? I don’t know how your story ended, but if what you felt then was true love, then it’s never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn’t it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don’t know what a love like Juliet’s feels like –love to leave loved ones for –love to cross oceans for… But I’d like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that’ I’d have the courage to seize it. And Claire, if you didn’t, I hope one day that you will.

All my love,

Juliet
